What is a Community Circle?

Community Circles are community-based local support networks open to all families & individuals who may need social, emotional, and physical support and have a desire to give back and help others to better themselves and the community.
Circles are a space for us to gather together and share in community as a means to support each other, strengthen families, and build a healthier community for all of us to live in.
Who are Community Circles for?
Community Circles are for anyone! We all have needs as well as gifts, and we all can become allies to one another, regardless of our individual situations. Needing support isn't about how much money we do or don't have. We all need relationships and meaning to thrive.
Lives are changed when individuals become part of a group. When we have a network of trusted friends in our community, we have a support system for meeting both practical and emotional needs.
What happens at a Community Circle?
At a monthly Community Circle meeting we start off by enjoying a meal together. After our meal childcare is provided and we celebrate the new and good happening in our lives; we support each other through a mutual exchange of our needs and our offers; and we build our community one relationship at a time. Circles are about both giving and receiving.
